My Photo

Definition

  • [es-pree de less-ka/-iay] (idiom) A witty remark that occurs to you too late, literally on the way down the stairs. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations defines esprit de l'escalier as, "An untranslatable phrase, the meaning of which is that one only thinks on one's way downstairs of the smart retort one might have made in the drawing room."

That van needs a boot on it. :)

I know! It so looks like it needs a bunch of tickets.

You do know that the boot is one of my fears in life?

I think the boot is a great fear of many people.

You know, I keep thinking that Navy Pier photo looks very European. I keep expecting to see pigeons flying away from a square and then I look down and my brain goes, "Oh, it's Navy Pier".

I love the Chicago shots! I'll always remember our day of "shooting" and breakfast at Hashbrowns!!
